The Boys

The boys' school does the Cardinale Pride awards once a month (it is the student of the month). Kyler was one of the 4 reciepients this month. Great job, Kyler! Looks like he picked up where he left off in Clovis! Both Caden and Kyler are doing well in school. Both are keeping their grades at strait A's, and they are now involved in soccer and spring flag football. They are also getting ready to train for the Country Music Marathon in April. They will soon start running 1 mile a day after school to count toward their 24 mile run for the marathon. The last mile will be run around LP Field (Titan's football field) on April 24th.

Charlene and Kelly's Visit

Charlene and Kelly came to visit last week and despite everyone getting sick during their visit, we had a fun time. We went to the Jack Daniel's distillery and Ft. Campbell army post. We also had a nice weekend visit with Sonya and her boyfriend Greg.

Visitor at School!

Kyler and Caden's school always seems to have something fun in the works...singers and songwriters preforming, professional sports teams helping out with PE (we did get free hockey tickets out of this one), and the latest was a children's book author.

I went to the school assembly to listen to Herman Parish, the author of Amelia Badelia. He is actually the 2nd author...his aunt began writing about Amelia, but after her death in 1988, her nephew Herman took over. What a thrill it was to listen to him talk about how Amelia got her start, and where she is going next.

Not Much Going On!

I haven't done much on this lately because there really hasn't been much happening! We spent New Year's Eve with Liz and Ernie and Lauren. We came home around 10:30pm, but managed to get a few pictures.

Boys are doing fine. We have had such a cold winter, so there hasn't been much outdoor play time...poor mom and dad!

We have been spending our weekends with our neighbors/friends. There is a great picture of Terry losing (badly) in a push-up competition...with our neighbor Rhonda!

We have had a family of coyotes running and playing in our backyards. They are pretty loud at night, but during the day they just run around. We watch them from the kitchen window.

Well, that is all for now. I hope we liven up a little so I can post more on here.

Christmas

We had a very nice Christmas! It was a beautiful day outside, so we were able to play with everything and enjoy time with our neighbors. We spent Christmas Eve with Liz & Ernie at their house (next door). Then Christmas day was mostly spent outside visiting our few neighbors...oh, and the men and boys had a field goal kicking contest...I'm sure a few of the men felt it the next day!

The boys were a little overwhelmed with all the gifts...we are used to having Christmas spread out over about a week with our friends and families. Presents from Santa, us, four grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends and neighbors all at once is something to see. Thank you to all off you for the wonderful gifts and well wishes!

Predators Hockey

The boys enjoyed a night out at a Predators hockey game. Craig and Cindy and their family were at our house for the night, so I sent Craig to the game with the boys. Now, just because I have more pictures of Caden on this blog than I do of Kyler, does not mean I love Kyler any less. It means that Caden is a big ham, and jumps in front of any camera he sees. That being said, enjoy this picture of Caden (which I'm sure he made someone take of him). Had I been there, there would have been pictures of everyone except me...I am the only one who takes pictures in this family, so, I am never seen!

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy new year!

More Visitors!

Our very good friend Jason (aka...Money) and his girlfriend January came to visit on Thanksgiving weekend. We had a great visit! Money spoiled the kids, as usual, and also received a new, more respectful, nickname from my kids...Mr. Money! Thanks for the fun Wii games and for a wonderful visit, Money! And, by the way, we LOVE January!
